Theresa May winning over critics?
Survation released a new poll on the Brexit divorce deal today and Brexit attitudes more broadly.
Excluding undecideds, UK voters now support Theresa May's Brexit divorce deal 41% to 37%. That's a flip from 31-47% just two weeks ago.
Voters also want MPs to vote for the deal. Among those who want to Leave, the split is 48-36% and among those who want to Remain it's 46-38%.
Especially incredible is that Conservative voters support the deal at 50% to 29% opposed and 62% want their MPs to vote for the deal compared to 22% who want them to vote against it.
For me this is some very good news for the pound. This week Michael Gove said he'd changed his mind and will be supporting the deal because of what he had learned about on-time delivery of UK water treatment chemicals from the EU.
If MPs realize that the public would rather have a deal and end the uncertainty, then May can get a vote through parliament and the cloud over the pound will lift.
