The service sector is the focus of US data today

Two services PMI's on the cards starting at 13.45 GMT

We kick of a round of service sector data with the Markit PMI at 12.45 GMT. 52.5 is expected from March's 52.8.

That's followed buy the ISM non-manufacturing PMI at 14.00 GMT. Up 6 ticks to 55.8 is expected after March's 55.2.

The manufacturing ISM always seems to get greater attention than this one but services is a big chunk of the US economy and certainly the jobs market too, so watch the employment component. That dropped to 51.6 in March from 55.2 in Feb. Could that have been a signal for the worse NFP?

Prices will be a hot topic too for the Fed, though input prices fell last month from 57.7 to 53.5.

15 minutes to go.
