US Markit PMI data due and new home sales

The economic calendar today will be highlighted by the Bank of Canada interest-rate decision which is expected to show a 25 basis point increase to 1.75% from 1.5% (10 AM ET/1400 GMT).

  • Markit US manufacturing PMI for October preliminary 55.3 expected versus 55.6 last
  • Markit US services PMI for October, 54 expected versus 53.5 last
  • Markit US composite PMI for October. Last 53.9
  • New home sales for September expected at age 625K clip versus 629K in August
  • EIA inventory data for the current week. The private data for crude showed a surprise build. The expectations are for Crude oil to rise by 3700K, gasoline inventories -1749K, distillates -2000k. Below is the data from the private data released at the close yesterday
