The S&P 500 sank at the open in the third consecutive day of declines this week. The index is trading down 8 points to 1860 shortly after the open. Support is thin down to the 1840 zone but also look for dip buyers to step in ahead of 1850.

From where I stand, there isn’t much to these worries about China and tomorrow’s US retail sales report could turn things around quickly. Even if it’s soft, the blame will fall on the weather.
Update: Selling is accelerating quickly after the open, down to 13 points to 1855.
