The gains lasted 30 minutes
The S&P 500 was up 24 points shortly after the open but the sellers have taken over and the index is now flat at 3340.
The big level to watch is this week's low of 3329. If that breaks it could get ugly.
So far the FX market is brushing off the equity market moves.
