Ugly, ugly day
The S&P 500 closed 2017 at 2673. That leaves the index just 27 points into positive territory for the year. It's down 61 points today and 6% since the high on January 26.
That looks terrible, unless you're long Bitcoin, which is down a whopping 22% to $6625 today in a true rout.
The 55-day moving average is breaking. The good news is that every other recent break has proven to be nothing.
