Stocks pare losses but finish in negative territory
The S&P 500 fell for a fourth day but it showed some signs of life, finishing down just 5 points at 2056 after falling by as many as 16.
The index had been flirting with unchanged territory in the final 15 minutes of trading but slid in the final minutes.
With the quarter and fiscal year wrapping up, it's a dangerous time to be trading.
