South Korea says US officials responded "positively" to possible tariff waiver

More comments from the South Korean presidential office

Currently touching on trade and US tariffs. It is said that during the North Korean discussions here, national security director Chung Eui-yong asked for a waiver on steel tariffs and that there was a "positive" reaction by US officials on the matter.

Nothing more on that at the moment. But if a waiver or exemption would be given here, question is where does it stop? And on what basis would the so-called exemptions be based upon?

That will certainly draw the ire of those nations who are not able to get them.
