South Korea number of employed fell at the fastest pace in more than 20 years

Labour market data from SK for April showed the unemployment rate was unchanged on the month.

But … the number of employed fell at the fastest pace in more than two decades.

• unemployment rate unchanged at (seasonally adjusted) 3.8%
• number of employed fell 476,000 from a year earlier

Measures to contain the coronavirus impact, and this will not be confined to SK.
