- German inflation will be no more than 2% in 2013
It’s not very often you hear a Bundesbanker say he’s not worried about inflation when it is running at 2.6%, well above the ECB’s no-more than 2% target.
Now that’s more like it:
- On the longer-term we will have to be very vigilant
- We have the technical means to to stop expansive monetary policy at any time; need to also have political power for that
