India are now 282-3 having bowled out the West Indies for 182, so it’s unlikely Tendulkar will get another chance to bat but, hey, 74 is not a bad one to finish on if that’s so.
A century to sign off with would have been one fairytale too many, even for the great man surely, but disappointing for all to see him get so close.
