We started the session with an aversion to risk but as the European session draws to a close we suddenly feel more willing to take a flyer. US equities have edged higher by a third of a percent, gold has firmed above $1100 and oil has sliced its losses to a fraction of their earlier magnitude, now down $0.30 on the day.
Having pushed to the downside little more than an hour ago, traders are covering EUR/USD shorts, taking prices to the low 1.4090s. Offers persist near1.4110/15 but stops are clustered around the 1.4120/25 level.
AUD/USD is up to 0.9010 from lows at 0.8935. 0.9018/20 is resistance.
