The political gridlock continues
Congress is set to meet briefly today but nothing is expected to come out of the meet as lawmakers will be more interested in the events taking place tomorrow with Democrats set to take over the House.
Separately, Trump has invited top Democratic and Republican leaders to meet at the White House for what sources say will be a "border security briefing". Let's see if we get anything to come from there.
Otherwise, the impasse looks set to continue indefinitely. And that's not something that will reflect well on market sentiment and the dollar.
