Portuguese bank borrowing from the ECB held steady in December around EUR 41 bln.
EUR bulls would like to see those numbers drop as that would show that the banks are funding themselves in the market and are not solely relying on the ECB for day-to-day funding.
Their borrowing peaked in August at 49 bln…
