US secretary of state Mike Pompeo was scheduled to meet with North Korean officials in New York tomorrow
That's a bit of an added blow to risk. The state department has come out to say now that the meeting has been postponed and that it will be rescheduled when "our respective schedules permit".
In case you didn't get that, it's code for "we're not sure if and when the meeting will happen now".
