Gotta see it to believe it
The Mexican Pres. Pena Nieto is on the wires saying he hopes that the accelerated NAFTA talks could get a deal done in August.
This week, Pres. Trump and EU's Juncker announced a trade deal. Let's just say it was an agreement to pursue a deal.
Regarding NAFTA there was hopes long ago that there would be a NAFTA deal well before the Mexican election. That election came and went with continued problems and tariffs followed.
I don't know what accelerates a deal, but talks of getting to the goal line have only gotten perhaps closer, but certainly not across.
