Rackleff could stun Dunn in House race
Is this an early sign?
Florida's 2nd district is supposed to be a sure thing for Republicans. Democrat Bob Rackleff was an afterthought and expected to be crushed something like 66%-34%.
With 64,000 votes counted, he's trailing only 53%-46%.
Now close doesn't count in this system but if it's an indication of which way the wind is blowing, it's not a great trend for Republicans.
Meanwhile, the Kentucky 6th district race is beginning to skew decidedly towards Democrat Amy McGrath. She leads 52%-46% with 41% of precincts reporting.
Caution: Still early.
Update with another one: Take Florida's 8th district. It was forecast to be 60-40% for Republican Posey. It's 56-44% with 46% counted. That's blue outperformance. Could be a bad sample or skew but it's another data point.
Update to the update: It's now 60-40% for Dunn and Posey. Republicans back in line with forecasts, but they'll have to beat forecasts to hold the House.
