Oil markets cling to the highs after OPEC stabilisation chatter

Brent sitting higher after a touted agreement on stabilising markets

Brent crude has just come off a high of 44.35 after news earlier from RIA, citing the OPEC general secretary saying that a possible agreement in stabilising the oil market between leading producers could last for one year.

As far as I can see there hasn't been any definitive confirmation so take it with the usual pinch of salt. We're still someway from the Algeria energy conference at which OPEC will be having sideline meetings. File this under chatter until we hear more.
