The virus situation in New Zealand continues to improve
- Lockdown in Auckland to be extended for now
- The rest of the country will remain on level 2 alert until 22 September
- Alert levels to be reevaluated on 20 September
The extension is precautionary but overall this is positive news for the economy and tees up a potential 50 bps rate hike by the RBNZ when we get to October.
