German foreign minister Westerwelle says the agreement hashed out on the European Stability Mechanism at yesterday’s EcoFin meeting may not be the last word on the matter. The EU summit Thursday and Friday is expected to ratify the agreement but it sounds as though Germany has some lingering reservations.
Since Germany is picking up more than a quarter of the tab for a party of 17, I can’t blame them…
