Both the Nikkei and USDJPY are posting fresh session lows 3 August 2016
Nikkei weighing heavy as yen appreciates again which in turn leads to the Nikkei, er, falling further. Both giving the other added impetus it seems since the post-lunch session began.
- Nikkei new session lows of 16071.04, down -1.95%
- USDJPY on session lows of 100.76.
- 5yr and 10yr JGB yields both slipping too
Support/demand on USDJPY nearby between 100.65-70 and more into 100.50
Update 04.47 GMT: Dip demand duly impacting on both as we see USDJPY back to 100.91 with Nikkei also paring losses back to 16110.09 from fresh lows of 16056.67
