Japanese stocks pare losses and head into the black
The index is now at session highs of 20,676.47 and is up by 0.28% following earlier losses in the day. The low posted was 20,347.49.
It's been a surprisingly calm session for Asian equities today after the beatdown in stocks on Friday everywhere.
We'll have to see if European markets will carry on with the same demeanor after having traded at fresh one-year lows at the end of last week.
S&P 500 futures are up by 0.56% on the day so far, which is providing some sense of comfort to investors for the time being.
