The Nikkei closes near the lows for the day
Asian equities are having a rough day after the sour mood in US trading overnight, with softer risk tones still prevailing to start the day as well.
The Hang Seng is down by 1.3% while the Shanghai Composite is down by 0.7% currently.
Meanwhile, US futures are still keeping lower by about 0.4% to start the session and that is leaving risk sentiment to stay on the softer side for now.
USD/JPY is trading lower at 106.80 as the yen and dollar remain firm across the board.
