Tokyo's main index closes slightly lower in mixed session for Asian equities
Asian stocks were mostly trading a little lower on the day as investors continue to eye US-China trade talks with a degree of caution. Poor data coming out from Japan, Europe and US yesterday also did little to lift the mood as they continue to stroke fears of slowing global growth.
US equity futures are also trading flat so far so that's offering little direction for markets to really react upon for the time being. Chinese stocks are the standout so far though, with the Shanghai Composite trading at the highs up by 0.8% currently.
However, overall risk sentiment is rather tepid and that's reflected in USD/JPY still trading at 110.70 levels; similar to when we began the European morning yesterday.
