Tokyo's main index weighed lower for a second straight day
Yesterday, it was bank stocks and Apple-related companies. Today, it's chip makers as Nvidia reported worse-than-expected earnings in overnight trading. That's weighing on the tech sector in the bourse and as a result the Nikkei closes near the lows for the day.
The softer sentiment here and in US equity futures (E-minis are down 0.3%) is what is leading to a bit of a bid in the yen as we head towards European trading.
