Tokyo's main index closes lower on the day

Following the same tone as Chinese stocks as the Hang Seng is down 0.9% while the Shanghai Composite is down 0.8%. The losses here isn't translating to US equity futures though, so the contagion effect seems to be pretty limited for now.
