Tokyo's main index closes marginally lower on the day

Asian equities are mostly a little lower on the day, with the Hang Seng leading losses among the major bourses - down by 0.48%. Over in China, the Shanghai Composite is down by 0.35% while the CSI 300 index is down by 0.17% on the day despite the small beat in Chinese manufacturing PMI figures earlier in the day.
