Japanese stocks gain in mixed Asian trading session
The Nikkei leads in terms of gains in Asia while Chinese stocks are lower on the day as markets continue to wait on more news from the US-China trade talks in Beijing. The silent mood is causing for some indecision among investors to start the day.
US equity futures are mildly higher following yesterday's decent performance in Wall St, though they have given up some of their earlier gains. E-minis are up by 0.2% currently as we move towards European trading.
With risk sentiment still caught in the middle, there's still plenty to play for in the day ahead. USD/JPY sits at 108.82 currently, a little higher on the day after recovering from lows at 108.51 earlier.
