Tokyo's main index closes higher as Asian stocks are mixed on the day
It's a mixed session for equities to start the day but Japanese stocks ended mostly higher on the back of risk recovery in markets overnight but the rallies seen so far in Asian trading are mostly half-hearted in my view.
There doesn't seem to be any major turnaround in risk sentiment as plenty of worries still linger in markets i.e. global growth concerns, US-China trade rhetoric. Sentiment remains fragile for the time being and with US markets closed today, it should be a bit of a slower and sluggish time for equities in terms of sentiment as we close out the week.
Do be reminded that Japanese markets will be closed tomorrow as well in observance of Labour Thanksgiving Day.
