Tokyo's main index closes a little higher on the day

- Session low 22,813.47
But is well off the highs posted earlier and it closes at the lows for the day. Asian equities are having a mildly risk-on day but Chinese stocks are virtually flat and that is not exuding a lot of confidence as we head into European trading.
Futures may be buoyed by US equities performance but the struggles in Asian trading continue to highlight that emerging markets are still feeling some form of stress as the new week begins.
