Tokyo's main index closes near the highs for the day

A solid day for the Nikkei as exporter shares are the ones leading the charge as the yen continues to fall in trading this week. There are mixed tones in Chinese markets though with the Hang Seng index up 0.3% but the Shanghai Composite down 0.5% currently.
