Tokyo's main index recovers to close near the highs for the day
Asian equities are in late recovery mode and are now posting mild gains following a more sluggish session at the start of the morning. Chinese equities are also up by 0.1% currently after seeing red earlier as equities sentiment is slightly on the upside to begin European trading - US equity futures are also flat on the day but near the highs.
Meanwhile, bond yields are still looking a little heavy so let's see which of the two sides will be able to dominate sentiment in the session ahead. For now, currencies are looking a bit torn with USD/JPY recovering off the lows to 111.93 but the likes of the aussie and kiwi are weighed lower on weaker domestic bond yields.
