I'm gonna give 'em the benefit of the doubt on the chosen date
- A NZD 1.20 an hour wage hike for lowest paid workers in the country
- to NZD 17.70 an hour
The RBNZ will take note of this. The Bank is on hold for a while still to come but this will tilt them towards a hike (but, yeah, not soon, K?). NZD up a few tics.
ps. Government foreshadows anther hike in the minimum wage from April 2020 and 2021 also. These not yet locked in.
