The New York Fed wrapped up its Q2 tracker at 2.78%, which is a ways off from the 4.1% first estimate from the US BEA. But don't fear, the number will be revised at least a half-dozen times so they still have a chance.

For Q3, the noted that positive surprises from manufacturing data accounted for most of the increase this week.
