S&P and Dow also higher
The NASDAQ composite index was able to squeak out a small 2.06 point gain or 0.03% and that was good enough for another record close.
The final numbers:
- S&P index rose 2.95 points or 0.11% at 2801.26. The high reach 2804.53. The low extended to 2791.69
- The NASDAQ index rose 2.06 points or 0.03% at 7825.977
- The Dow closed up 94.18 points or 0.38% at 25019.07.
For the week:
- The S&P index rose 1.5%
- The NASDAQ index rose 1.79%
- The Dow rose 2.3%
