Ex MOF policy maker Eisuke Sakakibara has just popped up again with a comment “that yen could appreciate to 75-76 yen” ., on Bloomberg apparently.
I seem to remember his last comment back in April that it could fall to 90 yen.
Anyway don’t think the market takes too much notice of him any more as he’s no longer in office.
Although the words “thanks a lot… buddy” may be resounding in the walls of the MOF at the moment..
