Further comments by former UK Brexit minister David Davis
- Theresa May is a good PM
- Says he will not encourage a challenge against UK PM May
- Also says that he would not stand as the next leader for the Conservative party
Davis showing a more conciliatory tone here, which suggests that the backlash that UK PM May could possibly receive may not be as bad as feared. Either way, the devil will be in the details and we'll have to wait and see what her plans are.
And even so, there's no certainty that with Davis out of the way it means smooth sailing for discussions with the EU.
