Mnuchin clarifies the White House stance on tariffs
Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said US tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum will remain in place despite putting the trade war 'on hold'.
Shares of US steel slid yesterday on speculation they could be lifted. They've bounced today but are still well-below Friday's close.
More broadly, it's not a great sign for thawing tensions.
Chuck Schumer is grandstanding on the Senate floor right now saying he's disappointed with Trump backing off on China.
