Mexico to push for trade deal
Incoming Mexican President Lopez Obrador wants a deal by the end of August so he can focus on his domestic agenda, according to a Bloomberg report citing three sources. A deal before he takes office would also shield him from criticism.
At this point a deal doesn't look likely because the US is entrenched on a few positions that Mexico and Canada won't relent on, like a sunset clause and resolution panels.
