- we would like mutual opening of markets to each other with China
- discussed civil society and we must continue human rights dialogue
- we can cooperate with China in third countries in Africa or Afghanistan
- G20 will bring difficult negotiations
That last comment was a general one we assume not just aimed at China
Say China's president Xi:
- German-Chinese relations about to have a new start
- relations have entered a new phase
- want more cooperation with Germany on aerospace
- want to make it easier for German and Chinese people to be in contact, inc tourism
Meanwhile EURUSD 1.1320 having posted fresh session lows of 1.1313 with EURGBP dipping to 0.8762 and still helping to put a bid under cable.
USDJPY and USDCHF both higher as attention turns to the FOMC Minutes later in the US session.
