An overnight report by The Sun
The report says that Remain Cabinet ministers have told May that she must agree to delay Brexit if there is no deal struck with the EU if she wants to halt their Commons rebellion next week.
It goes on to say that if May refuses to do so, then senior ministers would vow to support the Cooper amendment in order to allow for parliament to take the option of a no-deal outcome off the table before deadline day on 29 March.
As mentioned last week, the key deadline for Theresa May at this point in time is 26 February. That is when May needs to at least show that she has something on hand that will remotely be what parliament wants for a Brexit deal. Otherwise, it is likely parliament members will try to step in and call a motion for the Cooper amendment.
Cable has been holding above the 1.30 handle on optimism that a deal will eventually be struck between the UK and the EU but even if some form of agreement is made on changes to the political declaration, it's still unclear if that will be enough to pass a vote in the UK parliament.
