May suffers Brexit blow as UK's EU ambassador resigns

The FT report that the UK's EU ambassador has unexpectedly resigned

Sir Ivan Rogers has announced he will step down 8 months earlier than planned. He's been a key Brexit negotiation link between the EU for both David Cameron and Theresa May.

The FT report that he hasn't made public his reasons for leaving but it's been known that his relationship with May's team had began to deteriorate recently.

Other sources are saying the Foreign Office has not formally confirmed has now confirmed the story but other government sources are saying it's true.
