Brexit: May and Juncker said to have made 'good progress' on political declaration tweaks

According to The Guardian's Brussels correspondent, Daniel Boffey

  • Also made progress on work on alternative future arrangements
  • And on possible additional guarantees on the backstop

Says that this will all be wrapped up during the EU Summit on 21 March and that EU chief Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier, will be meeting with UK negotiators again tomorrow to continue to hash things out.

All this still plays into the game plan as noted here two weeks ago, but the real question is how much of this will matter if May can't get enough support from parliament anyway?
