Modest gains to end an up week
The major indices in the US were able to eek out small gains for the day. For the week, the gains were not bad with the Dow leading the way.

Apple today was a laggard on news that they warned suppliers of a drop of around 20 percent in new iPhone component orders. The stock closed down 1.04% on the day.
