Glasgow Remain vote not as strong as expected
The cities and Scotland are the fortress for the Remain side.
Glaskow just reported 168K votes for Remain and 84K votes for Leave. That sounds impressive at 2:1 but in order to be on a winning track the Remain side needed 2.5:1. That's a big miss.
This is looking like an extreme longshot for Remain now. London is the only real hope and it needs to come in way higher than expected for Remain.
The people trading on the national results right now are off the mark. This bounce to 1.44 is focused on the running tally but that's skewed by who has reported early/late.
The early districts were expected have shown a 2-3 point lead, at least for Remain but it's fractional.
Update: Just as I publish that, Torbay reports at 1.71:1 win for Leave but that's below the 1:84:1 margin expected.
It's not over yet.
Update 2: And now South Bucks with a poor showing for Leave.
