Kuwait says oil production cuts can stop in June if market re-balances

Kuwait with some bearish comments

A commitment to extend OPEC and non-OPEC oil production cuts to the end of 2018 isn't really a commitment if the parties have an option to change their minds.

That's what Kuwait hinted at in weekend comments. The oil minister said OPEC could end the cuts early if the market rebalances and noted that Russia is especially keen to pump more.

WTI crude oil closed at $57.36 on Friday and Brent at $63.40.
