Kremlin out with a statement on measures to counter latest US sanctions
- reduction to include both local staff and US diplomats
- there was no point waiting until Trump signed latest sanctions legislation
- overall number of US diplomatic staff is 1200
- the way out of current situation is through political will to repair relations
- Russia ready to continue ties with USA in those areas where it is in Russia's interest
- if USA retaliates Russia will take counter measures
Does anyone get on with anyone else these days ? Or is it now all me me me ? Was it ever thus but global diplomacy meant some degree of conciliatory gesture/relations had to be maintained?
Now it seems no one gives a flying fek who they upset.. Scary times.
Meanwhile USDJPY steady around 110.65, EURUSD a tad lower at 1.1734 as is EURGBP at 0.8950 after failing around 0.8960 again.
