Johnson to speak shortly
According to a Times reporter PM Johnson is expected to speak soon.
This is key now, how will Johnson react?:
- If he prorogues parliament again expect a real bun fight and GBP falls
- If he resigns, I would hazard that would be pound positive, but I am not clear on that one as it will immediately depend on who takes the reins in his place
- If he just sucks up the Supreme Court's judgment and says we'll all be heading back to the Commons now, I expect current sentiment to remain.
GBPUSD at 1.2457 and gently bid on expectations of Brexit delay now more likely that Parliament will sit.
