Not unless you pay a departure tax of ¥1,000 for each person leaving the country by aircraft or ship
- Comes into effect next Monday
- Government says it'll use the revenue (estimated to hit ¥6 billion in fiscal 2018 through March 2019 and ¥50 billion in fiscal 2019.) from the tax to accommodate more foreign visitors to the country, develop tourism bases and improve immigration procedures
Part of the tax is earmarked to buy more microphones for Kuroda
