One of the only Japanese government securities still paying interest
If you want a 10-year Japanese government bond, you're going to have to pay 0.11% in interest each year.
But if you want to give Tokyo your money until 2046, you can earn a tidy 0.30% per year while you wait to get it back. We'll get a better handle on demand at that yield in an auction at 0345 GMT. It's likely to be an all-time low in yield.
The most recent auction sold at 0.319% and that turned out to be a solid purchase because you can sell them today for a small uptick in price.
However, expecting yields to continue lower indefinitely might be asking too much.
